Shannon May

Shannon May spent her childhood on the coast of southern Connecticut amongst ruins of the Revolutionary War and mock parakeets. She graduated summa cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2010 with a BFA in illustration with a concentration in printmaking. She is fascinated by the promise and aesthetics of science and loves exploring, being uncomfortable, books, clouds, and geometry. Currently she spends her free time making objects (themooncraft.etsy.com), playing ukulele, listening to records, and entertaining her kitten, Momo.

Her work has been published in the New York Times and American Illustration 29.
